A country cottage for all seasons in the heart of the Horowhenua region of the North Island, 100km north of Wellington, Ohau River Cottage is a perfect retreat and an ideal spot for those with a love of nature to relax and unwind.
Situated in 25 acres of beautiful countryside, bordering the Ohau River and the Tararua Ranges it offers seclusion with comfort, style and independence.
The atmosphere is peaceful relaxed and informal.
A well-equipped kitchen with some food to purchase allows you to self cater.
You may fish for trout in the river, collect eggs from our free-range hens and gather walnuts and hazel nuts from the orchards during the season.
Dogs are welcome.
