Olveston is a unique historic heritage experience. Guided tours involve visitors in experiencing the 35 room mansion built in 1904-1906 for a wealthy Dunedin merchant and his family. David Theomin travelled extensively and lavished his home with irreplaceable artifacts and priceless treasures. The house, complete with all its contents, was gifted to the city of Dunedin following the death of the last surviving Theomin family member in 1966. Six daily tours at 9.30am, 10.45am, 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.45pm and 4.00pm. Reservations please. Group tours by special arrangement.
