Otira Village has many scenic attractions including the surrounding mountains with walks to the Goat Creek waterfall and the reservoir, the Cockayne nature walk at Kellys Creek or a river walk.

Stroll around the railway village built in 1924 and view our farm animals up close, but please keep the gates closed! Listen for the kiwis at night. Alternatively, check out the abundant bird-life in the daytime from large keas, wekas and wood pigeons to tuis and fantails.
