Oyster Gifts and Gallery is owned by two sisters who are passionate about New Zealand made designer gifts and art. Their store has a distinct pacific look and relaxed feel. Selling around 95% New Zealand made items and the imported ranges are researched to ensure ethical trading practices have taken place. There is an art gallery on the mezzanine floor where a different emerging local artist is exhibited each month.
Open 7 days, this is a lovely store which has become a favourite with locals and visitors to the area looking for a piece of contemporary designer ware or art. The sisters make a point of finding the latest, greatest kiwi made products from all over New Zealand.
