Day visitors and groups are offered a short talk about the geological history of the area, and an account of the Wakamarina gold rush.
This is followed by a trip to the river for some gold panning instruction.
Morning/afternoon tea included for pre-booked groups. Cost (including tea/coffee and cake, and use of gold panning equipment) $8 per person. $5 for day visitors (does not include refreshments).
