Visit the last remaining building of the 1840s Catholic Mission Headquarters to Western Oceania. The French used rammed earth to build this unique factory. Enjoy the garden that was created in 1879-80 from the crowded Mission compound. Experience the technology of this frontier Mission tannery and book-making works, & hear stories of the peoples of this place. Open 10 to 5 summer and school holidays, guided tours only for most of winter.
