Rachel Olsen

Rachel Olsen is a well known contemporary artist painter living at Cooks Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand. Her work often depicts New Zealand summers and its beautiful coastline. The ever changing sea and sky, bush clad hills, character sea-side baches, old dinghies and pohutukawas are among some of her favorite subjects to date.

She enjoys painting the light either end of the day when the shadows are extended and the light is golden. Her understanding of color and line, combined with a natural ability to draw and compose pictures have given her paintings wide appeal.
