Welcome to The Rusty Anchor, a backpacker's haven surrounded by fabulous beaches on the Karikari Peninsula. Rooms are mostly shared, sleeping 4-6 in bunk beds. We also have a queen bed room and a double bunk room on the upper level with lounge receiving sea views.
Sheltered tent & powered van sites have access to the hostel facilities. Relax in our private courtyard with free BBQ use or hire snorkels & bikes and explore! An attached information centre has internet cafe and we can book tours to Cape Reinga plus local activities such as kite-surfing, fishing, diving, kayaking & more.
There is plenty of parking and we are conveniently located opposite the Whatuwhiwhi shops. Stay and enjoy!
