Salmon World is located 40 minutes south of Christchurch on State Highway One. Open Daily 9.30am-4.30pm.
Salmon World is designed to appeal to all ages and is based on the scenic Rakaia River which is considered by many as the best salmon fishing river in New Zealand. The Salmon World Aquarium contains a huge salmon tank, aquariums & pools to help you understand and learn about the life-cycle of local salmon.
The Salmon World 4D movie ride seats up to 24 thrill seekers. The film lasts 13 minutes in which you will experience the very best adventure activities that our region has to offer. You strap yourself into a seat, the lights go out, you feel yourself being lifted from the floor, the screen comes to life and you are off.
