Motuarohia Island most commonly known as Roberton Island. Roberton has a long history with both maori and european from James cook sailing the Endevour into Cooks Cove to anchor in 1769. More than 180 types of native flora have been planted since, This has made a wonderful haven for the more than 20 species of birds that call this island paradise home.

For the independant traveller or the whole family, safe clear waters, Twin lagoons with a snorkelling trail educating you about NZ fish species is always a hit for everyone. Roberton boasts great short walks with views of the Bay of Islands, beautiful beaches and and affordable day that will leave you with amazing memories. There are no facilites on the island so it's nature at it's best.
