Songbird Gardens

Songbird is a garden for all seasons and is open daily from 10am-5pm (all year) by appointment. The garden covers over 3 hectares and in spring there are daffodils, a bluebell wood, rhododendrons and camellias producing glorious displays. In summer the dahlias are a riot of colour and agapanthus, glorious deep blue hydrangeas and golden elms line the drive. In Autumn deciduous trees are at their best and in winter NZ natives and ferns delight, with rocks, water and garden art. There's a rope swing, rustic bridge, fairies, and garden seats to relax in. Watch and listen to the birds. Photograph glorious sunsets and if you feel energetic, go bushwalking in the adjacent Ruahine Forest Park.
