Southstar Shuttle provides uplifts for mountain bikers to the top of Whaka forest weekends & public holidays year-round. Daily December 27th – February 1st. Timetable: 9.30am, 1pm Waipa carpark & every 15 minutes corner Pipeline & Hill Roads. Daylight savings, Tuesday 5.15pm from Burgerfuel. No bookings required. Call for mid-week bookings.
For the top of the hill riders can access sweet downhill trails including the Taniwha National Downhill, Little Red Riding Huck (otherwise known as 1000 jumps), Billy T, Split Enz and Hot X Bun.
