Tailor-made-tekapo backpackers is a hostel that opens its doors to all travellers. Lake Tekapo is a glacier lake famous for its beautiful turquoise colour, contrasting with the golden tussocks of the Mackenzie Country and the dramatic Southern Alps which surround it.
We are in a quiet corner of Lake Tekapo. Our hostel is set in a beautiful garden. We have a range of accommodation from dormitory to en-suite rooms. Families with children are very welcome. Michael has great local knowledge of fishing, hunting, birdlife and plants.
