We offer a unique experience for families to sample a remote wilderness holiday, with a number of safe activities.
Our cabin is situated adjacent to the Takaputahi river in the remoteness of the Raukumara Ranges, East Cape, North Island. This is a beautiful private valley, one and a half hours from Opotiki. The cabin has a comfortable lounge/dining area with open fire and plenty of seating. There are three bunkrooms, sleeping up to 8 people.
With no power, lighting is by kerosene lamps, but with a flush toilet, hot shower, sheets and duvets, there is no lack of comfort. All meals provided if required and with a camp oven roast cooked over the open fire, this is a real wilderness experience.
We offer fishing, rafting, kayaking, bushwalks, hunting, mountain biking.
Price range $140 first couple, per night, extras $20 pp/pn. Meals $70pp per day.
