As owner/skipper I operate MV Taranui, all year, out of Tairua on the Eastern/ocean side of Coromandel Peninsula.
Onboard dive compressor [6 fills per hour] allows extended diving trips for up to 8 persons in two 4 berth cabins. Wrecks, volcanic underwater terrain,and ocean pins all available.
Fishing trips also are a speciality for bottom varieties, and mechanical jigging kingfish on deeper knolls. Up to 12 anglers can fish at once from the 12metre Taranui.
Sightseeing trips of this marvellous coast and many offshore islands are another choice.
Meals are available, and varied gear can be arranged for hire.
The area Taranui works begins at Mayor Island, then north through Aldermen, Mercury island group, Cuvier and Gt Barrier.
