The Artists Retreat which resembles an old wooden church is just off the main highway in an easily accessible rural setting. The stunning views over farmlands from the mountains to the sea will take your breath away.
Wake up to bird song, including Tuis & Bellbirds, & the distant sound of the ocean. Whilst only a few minutes north of Kaikoura, The Artists Retreat is private and peaceful. Ideal for 1 or 2 couples travelling together or a family.
Although built in 2000, The Artists Retreat used recycled materials where possible and has a comfortable old world feel. We have farm animals with quirky personalities that love to be patted & hand fed.
