The Lodge at the French Village is set in a secluded valley, just 1 1/2 hours drive from Wellington.
It has facilities for up to 18 people, making it ideal for reunions for families and friends, but still just as appealing for a couple.
The Lodge operates on it's own hydro power system, making it eco-friendly.
The Lodge is set beside the Mangatarere Stream, and is adjacent to the Tararua National Park, which has wonderful walks.
The private property surrounding the Lodge also has some fantastic walks.
Martinborough is a half hour drive away, through picturesque countryside, and is great for a day trip to visit wineries and olive groves.
The Lodge is fed by filtered spring water and has abundant native birdlife.
