Ross Cottage is a registered historic building (NZ Historic Places Trust Reg.No. 5121) which has been restored to create a charming, comfortable retreat near the start of the Mt Somers Track. It is located near Staveley village on the Inland Scenic Route, 75 minutes southwest of Christchurch.
One double room with en suite and a twin and single room with shared bathroom. There are full kitchen facilities, a dining room, study and lounge.
Nearby activities include bush walks in beautiful mountain beech forest, Salmon and Trout fishing, skiing (Mt Hutt), hot air ballooning, jet boating, golf, horse treks.
