See birds in the mountains, lakes, rivers, valleys, wetlands and tussock grasslands of the foothills of the Southern Alps. Visit Arthur’s Pass National Park, Lake Heron & Maori Lakes Nature Reserves; Lakes Clearwater, Emma, Camp, Roundabout; Rakaia, Rangitata and Ashburton Rivers, Mt Somers Conservation Area. Species seen include Southern crested grebe, wrybill, black fronted tern, banded dotterel, kea, bellbird, NZ falcon, NZ pigeon, tomtit, rifleman, yellowhead. Accommodation, all meals and transport provided.
