A genuine Scandinavian log house, Waihou Lodge has been purpose-built to offer a unique peaceful New Zealand country holiday experience. A full log-crafted deck surrounds the lodge on three sides, viewing from the elevated site across farmland towards Mount Maungatautari Ecological Reserve(25min).
At the foot of the property, the clear blue springs of the Waihou River provide both excellent fly fishing and walking, following the 4.7km Te Waihou Walkway. A large woodburner, gas cooking, dishwasher, double bath, rain shower and BBQ combine with the peace and privacy of the location for a perfect getaway and recharge.
Sleeps up to seven guests. Boutique shopping, cafes and golf are 15min away at Tirau, Rotorua city is 35min drive.
