Western Rivers Lodge offers guided fly fishing for wild brown trout based in the stunning Maruia Valley. With over 40 blue ribbon trout streams within one hour’s drive plus spectacular back country helicopter options our unique location enables us to fish a great variety of rivers, streams and creeks.
An average trout from our rivers is over 5 pounds with many in the 6-8 pound class and plenty over the "trophy" ten pounds. Anglers enjoy vast stretches of water all to themselves, walking the riverbanks and casting into picture perfect riffles, runs and pools.
Our anglers are accommodated in their own private chalet at the lodge and all meals are catered for with fresh, classic cuisine given a "Kiwi" twist.
