Snowboarding on Mount Ruapehu

Snow, adventure, volcanos and stunning views - why decide for one when you can have it all on Mt Ruapehu?

Craving adventure? Not a problem. How about snowboarding on New Zealand’s most active volcano?

Mount Ruapehu is an active volcano, situated in Tongariro National Park on New Zealand’s North Island, not far away from Lake Taupo.

With Taupo being the adventure capital of the North Island, it is not really surprising to find yet another amazing adventure waiting for you in the neighbourhood!

Let me show you what snowboarding on Mount Ruapehu looks like:

The great thing about snowboarding on Ruapehu is that you can easily do it as a day trip from Taupo. You don’t even need any special clothes or equipment – you can rent all of that on site!

And please don’t be too worried about the whole active volcano thing: there are posters with safety instructions everywhere, even in the toilet stalls!

Snowboarding down an active volcano – only in New Zealand!
