I was lucky enough to experience this fantastic trip, the jet boat ride is just majic with birdlife everywhere Paradise Ducks pop up out of the water as if they are racing the boat.
The water is so clear & the scenery just amazing, with plenty of photo opportunities of Mount Cook & Mount Tasman.
Heading up the river almost to the Tasman Sea where you can see the waves crashing on the shore & then heading further up to the Waitangi Roto Nature Reserve.
The rainforest is spectacular & the birdlife abundant, soon we had reached the jetty & take a short walk through the rainforest to the viewing huts which are directly opposite the White Heron breeding colony.
The noise the excitement the feeding frenzy can all be witnessed with the binoculars provided, the shag, Spoonbill & many more species are all apparent, in a wonderful natural setting.
