Fiordland is a walking and hiking paradise, and home to three of New Zealand’s Great Walks – the Milford Track, Routeburn Track and Kepler Track.
The Milford Track is New Zealand’s most famous walk. This 53 kilometre journey takes you to pristine lakes, enormous valley views, and the tallest waterfall in New Zealand.
Thirty-two kilometres of hiking trail winds high into the sky amidst soaring mountain peaks on the Routeburn Track, which links Mount Aspiring National Park with Fiordland National Park.
The Kepler Track, a 60 kilometre panoramic hike, is designed to show off all the best features of Fiordland – enjoy mountains, native forest, waterfalls and glacier-carved valleys. All of the tracks have camping or hut accommodation options, which you can book on the Department of Conservation's website.
