This hostel was the original school built in the 1870's. It has been extensively renovated but retains its unique atmosphere. All facilities open all day. Non-resident Manager. No post office or banking between Hokitika and Wanaka. Please bring your own food as nearest shops are Whataroa 31km or Franz Josef 29km. Located opposite monument. Coin showers are available at the campground close by.
