Maungatautari Lodge
Maungatautari Lodge is a finely crafted, purpose built small luxury hotel that breaks the conventional mould. Located just one & three quarter hours drive South of Auckland, the lodge is situated on a sixteen-hectare working farm and thoroughbred horse stud beside Lake Karapiro in some of the most lush & beautiful countryside in New Zealand.

Maungatautari is the perfect place to base yourself when exploring nearby tourist attractions at Rotorua, Waitomo, or Tauranga, all an easy one-hour drive away. Lake Taupo is one and a half hours drive away.

Activities available within 30 minutes of the lodge include 6 golf courses, bush walks, horse treks, fishing and eco-tours, glowworms, and winery tours.
