Highway House B and B
43 Lynn St,
Meadowbank,
Oamaru
Our residence is itself part of Oamaru's heritage. It was built of the local Oamaru white stone in 1935 in the English storey and a half aesthetic tradition.
From this comfortable base one can easily visit the plentiful Victorian buildings in historic Oamaru and intersperse this with time in the idyllic rural environs or viewing the massively popular blue and yellow penguins.
This English-style residence (1.3km from town centre) has been entirely refurbished so that the fine Italian ceilings, Canadian oak paneling, leadlight windows and rimu staircase are complemented by 21st century decoration. Bedrooms are then newly redecorated and very comfortable, with electric blankets, heating and TV.
