Located within the central heritage area of Hokitika, Teichelmann's Bed & Breakfast is a six bedroomed, character home dating from 1897 with additions being added around 1910 & 1932. It was the first residence and consulting rooms for Dr Ebenezer Teichelmann who contributed greatly to Westland's history as a medical doctor, surgeon, mountaineer, explorer, photographer, conservationist, tourism pioneer and promoter of public health. The house has been completely refurbished with comfortable king size beds, ensuite bathrooms and separate guests lounge.
