The Moorings is but a moment's walk from the Matiatia Ferry terminal with its rental cars, taxis, buses, hire bikes, scooters and kayaks. It is also only a short walk to Oneroa, the primary village on Waiheke Island. A track leads from The Moorings down to Matiatia Bay, and superb coastal walks.
