Stewart Island/Rakiura National Park offers everything that is excellent about natural New Zealand. Virgin forest, deserted beaches, undisturbed bird and marine life and all easily viewed and enjoyed.

Kowhai Lane is the ideal base to explore Stewart Island. Overlooking Halfmoon Bay, Kowhai Lane is about four or five minutes stroll from the waterfront. All rooms are ensuite and are newly redecorated. All rooms are centrally heated and share a modern kitchen. The large lounge and extensive library of local interest books and videos is available for guests enjoyment on wet afternoons and evenings. Complimentary transfers on both arrival and departure are included. As well as ensuite rooms units Kowhai Lane also has a self contained flat.
