Kare Kare is a wild black sandy beach where the Oscar winning movie 'The Piano' was filmed and many a wedding ceremony have been performed.

Nestled amongst the Nikau palms and Kauri trees Kurandah Bush Retreat is a sun-drenched, one bedroom, eco-studio hideaway, the perfect place to recharge the romance or recover from a long flight.

There's fantastic bush walks in the area, great surf and scenery (be sure to check out Kare Kare's spectacular waterfall) or you might prefer to sit by the fire and serenade your partner on slide guitar while he or she checks their emails on the broadband internet.
