Brent and Anna (middle aged) have a wealth of knowledge about their beach and surrounding areas. Nature and cultural walks from the Lodge include native bird colonies, Cook's Cove (Captain Cook's first landing place in New Zealand) and Tolaga Bay wharf, longest in NZ.
