The camp is west of Jacksons, where the Brunner road meets Hwy 73. The office carries a good stock of essential items. Fifteen acres of terraced sites allow stunning outlooks over to the river, mountains and waterfalls.
There are 30 power points on hard stands and 10 tent sites set amongst the bush. Unique to New Zealand are the large barns with private bays, (each with power and water). Panoramic windows take in the alpine views. Mats and umbrellas are supplied. The facilities are all modern and beautifully clean with sensor lighting.
Many lovely mountain tramps start in this area, with a pick up service available for the weary. Jetboat rides available with whitebait and wine served. Only 20 minutes from Temple Basin skifield.
