North Island Kokako At Boundary Stream Scenic Reserve, a 'mainland island', you can get a glimpse of pre-human New Zealand. Situated on the eastern flanks of the Maungaharuru Range northwest of Napier, Boundary Stream is home to several threatened bird species.
