Flock Hill, Canterbury. The limestone boulders and tors of Flock Hill, west of Christchurch, provided a dramatic backdrop for the confrontation between Aslan and the White Witch in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.' While this area is private property, rockclimbers and tour groups can request permission to explore the unusual landscape. The nearby Cave Stream Scenic Reserve, which has similar geology, is open to the public. Photo credit: Ian Brodie
