Bottlenose dolphins, Bay of Islands
Around 350 individual bottlenose dolphins have been identified in the Bay of Islands. They average three metres in length, making them some of the largest bottlenose dolphins in the world. These animals are social and active; they really seem to enjoy the company of humans. If conditions are right, you may have the chance to get in the water with them.
