Interislander ferry
While flying between the North and South Islands is very time efficient, catching the ferry is a great way to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Cook Strait and the Marlborough Sounds. The trip takes around three hours and it’s been described by a leading travel magazine as 'one of the most beautiful ferry rides in the world'.
