Signpost at Stirling Point, Southland
This much-photographed signpost at Stirling Point in Bluff marks the southern end of State Highway One. The highway travels the length of New Zealand from Bluff to the northern point at Cape Reinga.
The signpost gives directions and distances to some of the world’s most famous cities, and two offshore islands.
