Fox Glacier Walk
In the early 1900s Victorian ladies and gentlemen - adorned in long dresses and bow ties - were regularly exploring the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers. They would hammer a few nails through the soles of their shoes and sally forth over the ice. Today the tradition of glacier walking continues, but the equipment is somewhat more sophisticated.
