Tararua Wind Farms
Situated ten kilometres north east of Palmerston North, the Tararua Wind Farm is spread along a ridge of the Tararua Ranges. The turbines produce enough electricity to meet the annual needs of more than 30,000 homes. Innovative locals have created various ways to visit the huge wind farm, including horse treks and quad bike tours.
