The eastern coast of Coromandel Peninsula is one long surfing holiday. From Opito Bay to Whangamata, the white sand beaches promise reliable swells in easterly wind conditions. A rare treat is Hot Water Beach, where you can catch a few waves then dig your own natural spa pool in the sand.
