Mt Taranaki from Lake Mangamahoe
A short distance south of New Plymouth, Lake Mangamahoe is a picturesque location for photography, forest walks and mountain biking. It takes about two hours to hike around the lake and the far side offers great views of Mount Taranaki. The almost-symmetrical volcanic cone reflects in the clear waters of the lake, framed by the lush green of the native forest.
