A world within
In the Maori language, ‘wai’ means water and ‘tomo’ means hole. So when you see the name Waitomo on a road sign, you know it’s pointing to New Zealand’s most famous caving area. Underground experiences vary from a sedate stroll along a well-lit walkway to the epic caving challenge of the Lost World.
