Limestone formations, Castle Hill
Castle Hill Scenic Reserve holds great interest for rock climbers, as well as those who like surreal landscapes. The limestone outcrops give the area a mysterious ‘stone henge’ atmosphere. Castle Hill is on the road to Arthur’s Pass, about an hour’s drive from Christchurch city.
