Each cottage or house is within easy walking distance of the main lodge, the heart of Wharekauhau.

Modelled on an Edwardian country mansion, the lodge was designed by Queenstown architect Fred van Brandenburg, and it is here that guests dine and mingle. The fine design, sumptuous furnishings, exquisite tableware and outstanding cuisine all combine to satisfy the senses. Renowned for its cuisine, fresh, local produce is used, complemented by a quality wine cellar comprising the finest New Zealand wines.
