The Waitakere Ranges
The Waitakere Ranges Regional Park includes more than 16,000 hectares of native rainforest, including over 250km of hiking and walking trails. The park, dividing the wild west coast beaches and the greater Auckland area, offers an abundance of activities including hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, running, picnicing, camping, canyoning and sightseeing.
