Ruahine Forest Park
Ten roads provide access to the Ruahine Forest Park, and there are tracks leading to numerous hikers’ huts. Near the top of the mountain range, you’ll walk out of dense forests and into sub-alpine scrubland, tussock grasslands and summer-flowering herbfields. Because it's very elevated, this park delivers stunning views of the Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu regions.
