The Remarkables, Queenstown
It’s easy to see why these mountains were named The Remarkables – they offer remarkable views, remarkable skiing and remarkable rock climbing. Draped in snow for much of the year, the massive range dominates the Wakatipu Basin, dwarfing trees, cars and houses. At sunset, the mountains are bathed in red-gold light.
