Sunset Over Glacial Lake
The mountainous region between Mount Cook National Park and Haast Pass contains some spectacular alpine country. Its delights include fast running rivers, wild herb fields, tussock covered valleys, glacial lakes, native forest and five mountain ranges. Mt Brewster (2423m) in the Haast Range can be climbed from the Haast, Makarora or Hunter valleys.
