Routeburn Track, Key Summit
Half a day’s hiking on the Routeburn Track will find you at a place called Key Summit, where the peaks of Mount Aspiring National Park surround an alpine meadow dotted with mountain tarns. Traversing 32 kilometres between the head of Lake Wakatipu and the road to Milford Sound, the Routeburn is one of New Zealand’s ‘Great Walks’.
